For a competition. The real result from the beta testing work map of comic sans. This is the better scale with proper research.

PLEASE READ
Research done based on social demographic structure in Singapore for each district. So here, i focus it in the CBD Area, some area didn't covered up. You can read yourself at the index, i zoomed in the structure and everything and how i'm working with type patterns. And for each structure has it own "typography characteristic" instead of "pattern characteristic". whether it's sans / serif / slab. I didn't include the street, etc coz this is not intended to be a GPS since i believe it will just make you confuse. Many typefaces were used and some landmark were typed tho. The map is not 100% correct but generally correct, due to generated by human being with limited time.

Here's the reference i'm using. CBD District toa payoh excluded. sorry :P. [link] spent too much time gathering infos about the structure so i'm not guarantee that this will be 100%correct.

Wow. That is amazing. I never would have thought you could do something THAT intricate with juts type and line. Makes me look forward to taking typography next quarter that much more.

How big is the finished piece?

Extremely well done and ambitious too-- like iVictoria says, so much is done with simply lines and text...it pushes the envelope for sure.

I love the design of maps, especially ones that come out with this kind of look and feel. Great work, :+fav:'ed
